Can I bring in my files to your office?
Yes, see hours of operation.
Can I witness my work shred if I bring them to you?
No, we help you place your records into locked secure containers and we
store those containers in our locked, alarmed offices which have very
limited access. When the truck arrives at the end of the day or the
following day, we will shred your work. The only way to witness your
shred is if we come to you.
Do I have to remove all paperclips, staples, rubber bands from my work
before it is shred?
No, our industrial grade shredding system will no be bothered by any of the above.
What about hanging files, binders, books of green bar paper?
Just drop all of the above into one of our secure containers or leave
it boxed if you are purging and our truck will do the rest.
If
my material is stored in hard to access locations can you provide the
necessary labor to remove the material? For example, if is it located
in a basement, attic, or off site storage facility can you still
accommodate us?
We can supply all necessary labor and
equipment to remove your material wherever you may have it located. We
will need to know in advance of your situation. Many times a person(s)
is sent in advance to move your records to a secure place our driver
can get to. In the case of off site storage, we provide that
regularly. We ask for you to separate clearly what gets permanently
terminated, should it be a very large unit or units, we also ask for
you to leave us some way to lock the unit if the amount should be
greater than we have storage for on our truck(s). If that happens we
will need to empty the shredded work at the recycler and schedule to
come back to finish. This could be later in that day, the next day or
another day and time according to your schedule and ours.
Can I personally witness the Destruction Process?
Yes, all of our destruction vehicles are equipped with cameras which
allow you to witness the destruction of your work and also the
compaction of the pieces into the storage area of the vehicle.
What happens to my material after it is shredded?
First all of your work is mixed in with everyone else's work. All
shredded material is kept under lock and key until it is brought to be
recycled. It is shipped to paper mills where it is used as a pulp
substitutes sparing the harvesting of new trees.

Is there any kind of contract to sign?
Yes, for all work done we want written permission stating you have
authority to destroy, and that you give us permission to destroy. If
you read our contract you will see there is more in it to protect you
than us. In many cases, you are mandated by Federal Requirements to
enter into a contract for your destruction agreements.

How can I order your services?
You can call us for a free consultation or to schedule service. You
can go to Contact Us on this website and fill out the form for us to
receive.
What kind of paper can we put into our shred containers?
Any kind of office related paper, folders, binders, checks, books,
cards, etc. No need to remove rubber bands, staples, clips, etc. We
ask that you do not place any kind trash, garbage, tools, steel
objects, Xrays, batteries, ammunition, or any item other than what can
be shred and recycled back to pulp.
Why shred versus recycle?
Recycling services are not designed to provide security. Your paper is
transported in the trucks in whole form with no regard or little regard
for security. In many cases, the employees of recycling services are
not background checked. Mostly they are sorting the paper for type or
grade and that is done by low level, low wage employees. Again, with
no regard to security.
Do you sell your secure containers?
Yes we do, please call for more information.
What do I do with my Certificate of Destruction?
You need to make notes about what specifically was destroyed. For
example: employee records 1998-2000 or Credit Card receipts 2000-2001.
Then store this record with your other permanent filed information not
to be shred. Should you ever have a legal action against you these
records will allow you third party accountability.
Why Shred?
Dumpster diving is the number one reason not to throw away any
information which others can use. The Supreme Court has ruled that
once you place your material into a trashcan, recycling receptacle, or
dumpster, you lose all privacy rights to that information, no matter
how sensitive or proprietary it is. Even if this is your trashcan
outside of your home or office. You may be held liable for negligence
if the discarded material does harm to someone.
Isn't shred services for large companies only?
No, small companies even those with just a few people have information
to protect. We offer very affordable plans for companies of all
sizes. Don't hesitate to call to see what we can do to fit your
budget, increase your security, and peace of mind.
Do you do any residential work?
Yes we do. We can schedule to come to your home economically if we can
come to you when we are in your area. We can also schedule by
appointment as we know you have a life and would prefer not to sit
around all day waiting for us. Either way, we can come to you. We ask
that all work is ground level and there is access for our driver to
roll a container to your work and back to the truck. If your work is
in an attic or basement- we can remove that but this would require
notice when you arrange for our service.
Why not shred it myself?
Many reasons, money being the first. It will cost you 3-5 times more
to have an in house shredder than a service. Between the cost of the
machine, the labor as you have to remove staples, clips etc. The
power, dust created in the office, then finally the disposal not
including you don't have a Certificate of Destruction are all good
reasons not to do it yourself. A document such as this will save you
many thousands of dollars should someone, a customer, employee, etc
claim you were irresponsible with their information.
